Santa Stand-In

The Santa Stand-in app was produced for The Feed weekly feature on Orange.co.uk. Users were asked to transform a picture of themselves into a stand-in Santa for Christmas 2010.

Our roll in the project was to build a flash app that would allow users to either upload an image from their local machine or take an instant snap of themselves using their webcam. Once the image was in the app, the user could adjust the picture before fattening up the face with mince pies and adding beard parts and hats to complete the santa look.

The challenging part of the project was creating the fattening effect - for this we used transform filters with a selection of maps to progressivly increase the fatness per pie the user fed themselves.
