The website is built using Wordpress with a custom CMS to handle competition entries. There are a number of flash modules within the site including turning yourself into a genie to tell a joke as well as a video recording application where you have 30 seconds to tell a joke for a chance to win.

The site provides a home for the return of Alan Partridge, including its own embeddable widget for users to share new material on their own blog.
